Case Study - Buxton Swimming Pool

Browns have been awarded the contract to undertake the major refurbishment of the Buxton Swimming Pool.
The whole complex is owned and managed by High Peak Borough Council. Both the Pavilion Grounds and buildings are formally recognised by English Heritage and the Department of culture, media and sport for their special architectural interest and the Pavilion buildings are grade II listed.
The work being conducted by Browns includes a much-needed facelift, installation of a modern changing village, plus new poolside ceiling and tiling and the replacement of plant and machinery. The roof is being replaced and modern insulation introduced to reduce heat loss, condensation and corrosion.
