  • a  five storey - 110 Premier Inn.

The site will include 21,000sqft of retail and leisure space and will centre upon a charming public square providing a clear central landmark for Barnsley.
Browns were an obvious choice for this exceptional project because of the vast experience and expertise in the high rise residential market and hotel sector.

Construction Challenges & initiatives:
Gateway Plaza is located along a busy access route into a thriving town centre creating logistical challenges.   At all times during the construction Browns have strived to implement innovations which have been beneficial to the environment such as rain water harvesting systems,  and recycled aluminium cladding.
Coupled with this Browns have worked extensively with the local construction college to enable students to visit the site and to provide learning placements for the staff at the college.
