Browns Work With The Manchester College To Provide Leadership And Management Training
The Manchester College is helping Browns Construction to improve their leadership and management through providing them with an Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) course.
Browns Construction, based at Cheadle Royal Business Park, is one of the oldest construction companies in the UK. Established in 1860 they have been involved in the construction and restoration of landmark buildings in the North since that time. Browns continues to build on its solid reputation for quality and reliability working for a wide range of long-established public, private and voluntary sector clients and in conjunction with some of the region’s leading design and cost consultants.
Gavin King procured the training for Browns Construction from The Manchester College and is delighted with the course:
‘I found out about the college through a recommendation from Business Link. We wanted to do some leadership and management courses and The Manchester College came highly recommended.
‘Seven of our leadership team are studying the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) level 3 qualification. They are close to completing the last assignment and then all of them will be accredited with the ILM.
‘We undertook the training because our client base changed and we needed a unique selling point. Our selling point is our management and it will win us work.
‘The training is excellent. The content at times is difficult as it is level 3, but it is valuable to all positions in the business. It is very enjoyable and will put us where we want to be.
